Tired of staring at a computer screen, trying to find ways to liven up your designs? Join Dominique Falla for a Tactile Typography workshop to learn ways to add depth, dimensionality and texture to your logos and lettering. Get hands-on with paper and thread and learn how combining the basic techniques of paper tole, quilling, embossing, paper cutting, stitching and piercing will lift your designs off the page. Dominique will also share photography and lighting tips to help your dimensional artwork look its best. Bring along any logos or lettering you want to work on.

Staying Free As A Freelancer - A Creative South workshop with @MarkBrickey where he shows his path to becoming a client free creative. Over 2 hours of insight teaching how to properly manage your creative time, determine your value in the market place and the delicate art of learning the skill of prioritizing your work over clients. Through proven passive income strategies you can not only truly become your own boss, but also demand more from those that you CHOOSE to work with. The workshop includes a solo lecture by Mark, one on one situational problem solving, as well as a personal recording of the entire session, allowing you to live in the moment and not worrying about notes. Following the workshop you are invited to a private dinner and conversation where workshop attendees along with Mark can have some good times and continue the conversation into the night.

Making 3D Paper Patches

Bring your designs and illustrations into a new dimension! Learn the basics of layered papercraft art by making a 3D shadow box. This workshop covers the basics of cut paper illustration, exploring depth in papercraft compositions, and tips for assembling your designs into a final contained piece. Pre-cut designs will be available to assemble. If you want to use your own artwork, come with a small print-out or sketch to recreate in paper!
